Connective Strength is a UK-based organisation that provides specialised training and therapeutic interventions aimed at preventing family separation and supporting the reunification of children with their families. Utilising trauma-informed Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), they equip caregivers and professionals with effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours and strengthen familial bonds.

ReAttach Therapy

ReAttach Academy is an international training institute offering accredited programs in ReAttach®—a non-invasive, short-term intervention that supports emotional processing, stress regulation, and personal development. Developed by Dr. Paula Zeestraten-Bartholomeus, ReAttach is widely used by therapists, educators, and coaches to assist individuals across all ages facing psychological and relational challenges.


Kerry Shoesmith, Director of ReAttach UK, is both a certified ReAttach trainer and practicing therapist. Under her leadership, key life coaches, leaders, and care teams at Cherry Lane Therapeutic Homes have been trained to deliver ReAttach therapeutic interventions.

Cherry Lane Therapeutic Services

Cherry Lane Therapeutic Services, based in Eastbourne, East Sussex, provides a comprehensive range of trauma-informed therapeutic services for children, young people, families, and professionals. Founded by Kerry Shoesmith, a BACP-accredited therapist with over 20 years’ experience in residential childcare, the organisation specialises in interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ReAttach therapy, and Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) training.


Their services include individual therapy, therapeutic consultations, staff supervision, and specialist training programmes

My Time My Space

My Time My Space is a holistic wellbeing centre nestled in the Sussex countryside, offering a peaceful, nature-based environment to support emotional and psychological wellbeing. Led by Anthony Corby, the centre provides equine therapy and a range of therapeutic interventions for young people, alongside on-site support for staff teams and individuals.

Their unique approach integrates therapeutic work with horses and the natural world.

Progressive Psychology UK

Progressive Psychology, led by Dr Peter Jakob, offers comprehensive, trauma-informed psychological services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Dr Jakob is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and an accredited practitioner, supervisor, and trainer in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) therapy. 

The practice integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, including systemic and family therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), and NVR.  In addition to therapy, Progressive Psychology provides clinical supervision and consultation to professionals working with individuals experiencing emotional, psychological, and familial challenges.

Bee-Leaf Project

The Bee-Leaf Project is an East Sussex-based youth service offering mentoring, alternative education, respite, and specialist interventions for young people. They provide training and education programmes to support Cherry Lane residents who are awaiting school placements or require bespoke school interventions.​

Their trauma-informed, relational approach helps young people build resilience and re-engage with learning, offering a vital bridge between care and education.
